Brands & locations

Brands & locations: control centrally, deliver locally.

Head office sets the framework; each location speaks in its own brand. In the PBM Campaign Platform, branches, dealers, partner banks and subsidiary brands become brands with their own CI, their own sender and clearly separated customer data – in an installation that belongs to you alone.

CI locks per field · Hard brand boundary · Single-tenant · Hosting in Germany

The problem

Why do central campaigns in networks fail so often?

Because either head office dictates everything and the locations don’t take part – or every location uses its own tool and the brand frays.

“Every location builds its own templates.”

One template base for everyone.

It adapts automatically to each brand’s CI.

“The legal notice was ‘adjusted’ locally.”

CI locks per field.

Legally relevant fields remain centrally locked.

“Location A can see location B’s customers.”

Hard brand boundary.

Customer data stays where it belongs.

What is a brand?

What are “Brands & locations” in the PBM Campaign Platform?

A brand in the PBM Campaign Platform is any unit that addresses customers with its own identity – such as a branch, a dealer or a partner bank. It has its own CI and its own sender. Every customer belongs to exactly one brand.

You create as many brands as your network has. If you have only one brand, you work with exactly one – with no extra effort.

  • Branches
  • Locations
  • Dealers
  • Franchise studios
  • Subsidiary brands

CI with locks

How does head office prevent uncontrolled growth without patronising the locations?

With locks per CI field. Legally relevant and identity-critical fields are locked by default. Locations and campaigns may adjust design fields. Every lock can be changed per field.

One template, many brands

Does every brand have to maintain its own templates?

No. A single template base adapts automatically to each brand’s CI: logo, colours, fonts, legal notice and sender come from the brand. If a brand needs a fundamentally different layout, you store a custom layout for it.

  • Mandatory texts centrally: you maintain global content blocks, such as legal notices, once. Where a brand needs its own version, it overrides the block.

  • One asset library: images, videos and letter templates are stored centrally and assigned to the brands. One motif can apply to several brands.

  • All channels: the same logic applies to email, letter and landing page.

Deliver locally

Who does the customer receive the message from?

From their location and their contact person. The head office of Muster Motors plans the “lease returns” campaign once for all car dealerships. Mr Lang nevertheless receives it from Autohaus Muster Köln, in the Cologne branding, with Marco Pohl as sender and his contact details. Replies go to the dealership, not to head office. (Example)

Data sovereignty

Can locations see other locations’ customers?

No. In the PBM Campaign Platform, the brand boundary is a hard visibility boundary. Staff at one partner bank never see customers of another – not even if responsibilities were maintained incorrectly. Head office sees the brands assigned to it.

Operating model

Single-tenant: your own installation.

Single-tenant means that every customer receives their own, fully isolated installation of the PBM Campaign Platform – with its own database and its own Kubernetes cluster. Unlike multi-tenant, where many companies use a shared installation, there is no data pool shared with other companies.

Brands & locations structure your organisation. You share the installation with no one.

Frequently asked questions about brands & locations

What does single-tenant mean for the PBM Campaign Platform?

Every customer receives their own, fully isolated installation of the PBM Campaign Platform with its own database and its own Kubernetes cluster. There is no data pool shared with other companies. The code base is identical for all installations; only the configuration differs.

Does the PBM Campaign Platform support multi-tenancy?

The PBM Campaign Platform is deliberately single-tenant: every company receives its own, isolated installation instead of sharing one with other companies. Within your installation you can map as many brands & locations as you like – such as branches, dealers or partner banks – each with its own CI, its own sender and a hard visibility boundary.

Can locations customise their own design?

Yes, within the framework set by head office. Design fields such as accent colour or social media links are customisable by default. Logo, primary colours, fonts, legal notice and sender are locked centrally by default. Each lock can be changed per field.

Can locations see other locations’ customers?

No. Every customer belongs to exactly one brand, and the brand boundary is a hard visibility boundary. Staff only see customers of the brands assigned to them – even if other responsibility attributes were maintained incorrectly.

Where is the PBM Campaign Platform hosted?

By default in Germany with the provider Hetzner. Optionally, your installation runs on AWS, Microsoft Azure or in another environment of your choice. Data storage remains in the EU. Files can be stored in your own S3 storage on request.

Can a brand get a completely separate layout?

Yes. Normally, a shared template base adapts automatically to each brand’s CI. If a brand requires a fundamentally different layout, you store a dedicated custom layout for it that replaces the shared base for that brand.
